Art is Valuable!!!!!
Today, I overheard a conversation that made me stop everything I was doing.
As I was in the bus I heard two friends discussing about how useless art is. They seemed so confident and bold as they spoke they told each other that art was a waste of time. That we didn't need it to survive their exact words were
"A song a book or a drawing is not going to help me in life. If I am dying I will need medicines and machines to help me not something on a stupid piece of paper" they said.
I regret just standing there and not even trying to try and knock some sense into these people, so here I am, a normal, 14 year old, Canadian girl, sitting behind her laptop typing furiously.
Why you may ask? Well I have a 2 things to say.
1.) Sorry
2) Thank You
I am so sorry for not standing up, for the people who have made such a huge impact on my life. I am sorry.
Art is the most valuable thing we have.
To all the artists who have made me who I am today, thank you. Veronica Roth, Suzanne Collins, Taylor Swift, Sarah Dessen, Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato, Rick Yancey, Meg Cabot, John Green, Selena Gomez, J.K Rowling, Harper Lee, and many more. ( I will make a list thanking all artists separately in the next week). Thank you to each and every artist in the world. Whether you are a best selling author or a normal kid going to music classes. I want to say Thank You for taking a step towards creativity. Art is valuable because it really is the closest thing we have to magic.

How to beat Writers Block
Are you stuck in writer's block??
Don't Worry...
Now I know there are a lot of us who would love to write but can't find the inspiration. However, I did some research and I have three simple ways that can help you beat writers block. One of them will definitely work for you.
1. Read. Okay I know pretty self-explanatory but it's the last thing people try when really it should be the first.
2. Pick up your favourite book, flip open to a random page. Then close your eyes and randomly pop your finger somewhere in the page. Use that one line , sentence or phrase to inspire you.
3. This can be done or rather should be done right after 2. However it works without number 2. Just fine. Set a timer of 5 minutes and write anything. Get you brain to this quantity over quality however I assure you the quality will also be great.
I am a writer and I know how frustrating writers block is.
So I hope this helps. Comment below if you have any ideas or tips that you think people would benefit from.
Thanks guys!!!

3. Things I Would Like Everyone To Know And Remember!!!!
1. We are allowed to love ourselves. (It is not Shallow)
2. You can do it. Whatever it is you want to do. You really can do it. We all can, that's what makes us human.
3. Things are not going to get done if you constantly talk about them.
Thanks.

The Book I Am Currently Reading!!!!!!!!!!
I love books and reading especially when the weather start getting cold. So if you are looking for a book to read and want someone to discuss it with.
I am reading What Happened To Goodbye
by Sarah Dessen.
Now this is the first Sarah Dessen book I am reading, but so far I think I am liking it. I have to say I am not in love with it but for an extremely heavy reader like me this can be a pretty refreshing break.
It has gotten 3.98 stars out of 5 stars and this is the synopsis on the back if the book
Since her parents' bitter divorce, McLean and her dad, a restaurant consultant, have been on the move-four towns in two years. Estranged from her mother and her mother's new family, McLean has followed her dad in leaving the unhappy past behind. And each new place gives her a chance to try out a new persona: from cheerleader to drama diva. But now, for the first time, McLean discovers a desire to stay in one place and just be herself, whoever that is. Perhaps Dave, the guy next door, can help her find out.

World Largest Refugee Camp.
Dadaab is the world’s largest refugee camp, where the United Nations says 350,302 people live, although the population is more likely half a million.
Next year the camp, set up as emergency shelter from Somalia’s civil war, will pass a grim milestone — 25 years in existence.
Dadaab attracts little attention, unless a famine or terrorist attack in Kenya jolts us into awareness.

Refugee Crisis
About 8,000 asylum seekers have gathered in the Austrian border town of Nickelsdorf, most of them crossing over from Hungary on Sunday.
They all lined up in a town square waiting for buses to relocate them. Austrian soldiers formed a barrier around them while local officials struggled to find accommodation for them because many camps were already overcrowded.
Mahat, a lab technician from Damascus, was among those waiting.
"We came here only to get a new life," said Mahat, who didn't want to give his last name fearing repercussions by Syria's government.
The 47-year-old said he didn't care where in Europe he would end up as long as he could live in peace and find a job.
The Austrian news agency APA reported that about 15,000 refugees were expected to cross into Austria from Hungary via Nickelsdorf this weekend.
Meanwhile, disasters at sea claimed the lives of dozens of refugees on Sunday, as desperate people fleeing war and poverty braved the risky journey to seek sanctuary in Europe.
